Yarina (Yiwei Dai) is best known for her ethereal and spiritual wearable sculptures. Her inspiration comes from her experience of exploring nature, scuba diving, and her study of theater arts. She uses jewelry as the medium to express her language, emotion, and cognition of life. She takes the human body and jewelry as one to explore their possibilities in the future.
She achieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metals and Jewelry at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. And is currently attending Jewelry + Metalsmithing’s MFA program at Rhode Island School of Design, Rhode Island.
